Sensei Terry Mitchell

Sensei Mitchell began training in Korean martial arts in 1982. He began training in Shorei Goju Ryu, an Okinawan based art in 1985 with Sensei Dan Marrs. He received the rank of Shodan (first degree blackbelt) from Sensei Karen Gardner in 1994.

He was awarded the rank of Nidan (second degree blackbelt) from Hanshi Lorraine Lewis in Shuri Ryu in 1999. Hanshi Lewis awarded him the rank of Sandan (third degree blackbelt) in Shuri Ryu in 2000. And she awarded him the rank of Yondan (fourth degree blackbelt) in 2002. He was awarded the rank of Rokudan (sixth degree blackbelt) by Hanshi Lewis in April of 2008.

As all of Sensei Mitchell's ranks are in systems created by O'Sensei Robert Trias, he teaches kata, techniques and philosophies from both systems. Thus he as begun to refer to the system that he teaches as Trias Karate as does Hanshi Lewis and Hanshi Roberta Trias-Kelley who is the inheritor of Shuri-Ryu and Menkyo Kaiden.

Sensei Joey Fried

Sensei Fried began his martial arts training in Kyokushinkai Karate in 1991, at the age of thirteen. He achieved this rank of Shodan (1st degree Black Belt) in 1995. He continued training for two more years, until he took a break from Karate. After a long break, he joined Sensei Mitchell, and trained in Trias Karate. Sensei Fried earned the rank of Shodan in Trias Karate in July of 2007, and the rank of Nidan (2nd degree Black Belt) in July of 2008, and his Sandan (3rd degree Black Belt) in May of 2010.

Sensei Jürgen Mohr

Sensei Mohr grew up in Germany, where he wrestled for approximately six years in the styles of freestyle and Greco-Roman. He started his martial arts training with Eagle Spirit Karate, where the curriculum included Shin Nagare Karate, Judo, Jujitsu and Kung Fu. Sensei Mohr was awarded a Yonkyu (Purple Belt) in Shin Nagare Karate. Eagle Spirit Karate had a change of ownership, and consequently changed styles. Since the change of styles, Sensei Mohr has earned the rank of ShichiKyu (Orange Belt) in Bushidokai Jujitsu, and Yondan (4th degree Black Belt) in Trias Karate.

Sensei Coby Templeton

In 1989, at the age of fifteen, Sensei Templeton began training in Okinawan Shorei GoJu Ryu. He earned his Shodan at the age of eighteen under Sensei Karen Gardener. While in the Army he earned his purple belt in Okinawan Kenpo Karate/ Kobudo under Sensei Earnesto Martinez. He trained in Korean Hapkido under Master John Dowdy achieving his Green belt before the school closed in 1997. He also studied Ju Jit su with Shihan Mike Hansard and Sensei Chad Thomas of USA Combat Ju Jit Su, Muncie IN. In 2010 he joined the Eagle Spirit Karate family. Sensei Templeton is continuing to expand his martial development by studying Intergrated Martial Concepts with Sensei Ken Lones and Aikido under George Reynolds Sensei in Alabama.
